2025 Power Rankings – Week 8

  1. The Evil Doctor (8-0; Evan Clayton): Evan must have connections in the FDA, cause the performance enhancing drugs his team is on is otherworldly. They cannot be STOPPED. Starting the year 8-0 is likely unheard of in the BFL and in most fantasy leagues in general. Honestly, I do not know anyone who can stop this man.

2. Horn Knee G (6-2; Greg Flohs): Greg continues to put up wins; separating himself from the larger pack vying for safety and playoff tickets. He had a nice easy matchup this past week against John to bring him to a nice, and respectable, 6-2. This week he draws Jimmy. Which version will he see: the new and improved, or the one we’ve come to know the several weeks prior.

3. Fantasy Football Team (4-4; Steve Katz): Steve’s team is snapping necks and cashing checks against anyone who dares to enter the cage with him. While slow out of the gate in the win column, this group is proving to be a dark horse when we get to the postseason. Perhaps a preview of the BFL finals against The Evil Doctor this week?

God, the next few spots are going to be tough to place with all of this parity

4. Sparta Waffle Eaters (4-4 Josh Tucci): Josh’s team snapped back into reality this week with a 110pt performance that proved to not be enough against a surging Steve. I was going to ask you for a favor, but perhaps I don’t want to jinx myself. Anyways, Josh plays Pat this week (yippee).

5. Bakers Cookies (4-4; Nick Calabrase): Between BYEs, injuries, and playing a version of Jimmy that actually resembled a team, Nick falls to .500. This was a tough one to push through for Nick considering the former reasons, so it is time to move to Team Maxson for week 9.

6. Wilson’s Moon Balls (4-4; Jimmy Campbell): Jimmy’s team must have been blasting Evanescence in their locker room, because they definitely woke up this past week against Nick. Finally, a nice, respectable performance for Jimmy. Jimmy can probably give himself a nice sigh of relief, but this waking must not be short if Jimmy wants to stay where he his in these rankings.

7. The Bonkers (4-4; Anthony DiMinno): God dammit, Ant. You couldn’t do me a favor? You had to put an 80-burger against Sean and let him slide to a win? I sent you beer earlier this year, don’t you remember that? WHY GOD, WHY. Anyways, Ant finds himself in a tight pack in the BFL all vying for playoff positions, and is primed for a bounce back against our Commish.

8. Phoenixville Horn Dogs (3-5; John Williams): John continues to troll this author by winning another game and selfishly separating himself from punishment contention – for now. Things weren’t too hard against injury-riddled Craig, but John’s group did play rather well. There are a lot of weeks and a ton of parity left in this season. Could this be the year the Doris Line breaks?

9. McConkey Kong  (4-4; Craig Stalowski): Injuries continue to creep up against Craig, who has now fallen to .500 just over the halfway mark of the year. Craig continues to work the wire and the phones trying to make trades to bolster his roster. If things don’t improve, Craig may have to stumble to punishment safety to end the year.

10. Milk Milk Lemonade (2-6; Sean Washington): Sean continues to crush my dreams by continuing to play well and get wins. He had a nice easy, matchup against Ant this past week (must be nice to have an easy matchup). With a win, the parity, and Pat losing, this makes for a very interesting final few weeks of the season; which includes a rematch against Pat.

11. Team Maxson (3-5; Johnathan Maxson): Johnathan’s team cant seem to shake the shadowy figure that is Johnathan’s car. This group really isn’t showing that they’ve got what it takes to move up, but they continue to prove they got what it takes to move down. There are six weeks to go, seems like a lot of time, but it’s going to go by fast.

12. Justin Tucker is Le Tired (2-6; Pat Masur): Years go by, the seasons change, but one thing is for certain: Pat will always be in contention for the punishment. It’s just a guarantee of life. Pat is currently sitting 6th in PF but tops the league in PA; with his opponents averaging 144 against him. Things were no different against undefeated Evan, and Pat is, suddenly, back in a drivers seat he does not want to be in.
