- Wilson’s Moon Balls (1-0; Jimmy Campbell): Having Derrick Henry and Zay Flowers for week 1 is almost a cheat code as Jimmy easily skated to a week 1 victory against the Commissioner. I look at this roster, and the only potential hole is at QB. This team could be very scary this year, as Jimmy looks for a repeat in week 2 against Sean.
2. Horn Knee G (1-0; Greg Flohs): Greg’s team has a solid balance of young players and experienced players that can deliver. Stacking Murray and Harrison along with having solid young talent through Irving and Egbuka makes Greg’s team very interesting to me – in a good way. Through that, Greg found himself in the win column to start our 2025 BFL season.

3. The Bonkers (1-0; Anthony DiMinno): Things were not looking great for Ant after the Chiefs-Chargers game on Friday Night. Worthy got hurt with a goose-egg, and Pacheco didn’t do much better with full health. Thankfully for Ant, the rest of his team was able to step it up to squeak out a victory against Pat in week 1.

4. McConkey Kong (1-0; Craig Stalowski): Craig’s team is hot out of the gate, firing just about on all cylinders – which he needed as his matchup against Nick was not an easy one. I see a lot of potential with this team, but the season is still young and a lot can still happen. Craig now looks to Steve in week 2.

5. Team Maxson (1-0; Johnathan Maxson): John’s receivers effectively did nothing and Jeanty had a lukewarm NFL debut, but Hurts and Deebo did just enough to give John a decent week 1 outing – and win on top of it. I really like this team, but more consistency will need to be had to keep finding the win column.

6. The Evil Doctor (1-0; Evan Clayton): Week 1 is always a little funny in fantasy, as you truly do not know what kind of week, or even season, you will have. Evan had some good news and some bad news. Good news: Evan started with a win; bad news: Evan didn’t even clear 100pts. I think Evan is primed for a better performance in week 2, but not a hot start, per se.

7. The Saja Boys (0-1; Nick Calabrase): By all measures, Nick’s team had a solid week 1, but that does not mean you always get the win. His first, and only mistake, in week 1 was trusting the NY Football Giants through Tyrone Tracy. Oh well, lessons learned early in the season are always better than later.

8. Fantasy Football Team (0-1; Steve Katz): One of our top performing losers for week 1, Steve did not have a bad outing whatsoever. There is some concern on the injury front – surprise, surprise – it’s not CMC. With Purdy out for a few weeks, Steve may have to rely on Caleb Williams – which I think will pay off.

9. Justin Tucker is Le Tired (0-1; Pat Masur): Last year, Pat had an underperforming Mahomes the first few weeks of the season, with a better performing quarterback waiting in the wings to help propel him to victory. History has started to repeat itself this year for Pat’s team with Burrow and Herbert respectively. Not a bad showing for week 1 all things considered, but a loss, nonetheless.

10. Sparta Waffle Eaters (0-1; Josh Tucci): Josh’s team had a not too shabby week 1, but Bo Nix having a very underwhelming performance did them in against Johnathan. If Bo did just a little better, Josh would be much further up this list. The season is long, plenty of time to catch back up.

11. Phoenixville Horn Dogs (0-1 John Williams): For the first time, I am taking a good look at John’s roster, and its just not hitting for me. I think it is very high-risk, high-reward, and right now that risk is not paying off out of the gate as he got squashed by Jimmy’s team. Let’s see if this risky stock pays off next week.
12. Milk Milk Lemonade (0-1; Sean Washington): Well, Sean, here you are after week 1. Josh Allen was your only redeeming player to start the season and now you owe for the next week’s parlay. Hopefully the only direction is up for here, otherwise you’re going to have a long road ahead of you.
