2025 Power Rankings – Week 2

  1. Wilson’s Moon Balls (2-0; Jimmy Campbell): First in points, first in the league – not a bad way to start the 2025 BFL season. Week 2 was a close one for Jimmy, Henry took the week off, but thankfully for him Sean decided to start a sleeper rookie receiver. Now sitting atop the standings, Jimmy looks to a tough matchup against Pat, who is desperate for his first win on the season.

2. The Evil Doctor (2-0; Evan Clayton): Evan and his team clearly were just trying to shake-off some rust after week 1 – and man – they now look like a shiny, well-oiled machine. Dropping a monster 157 against Josh as they cruise to a little winning streak to start the year. I don’t think this will be repeated in week 3, but don’t doubt this team too much either.

3. Team Maxson (2-0; Johnathan Maxson): Who needs to be good, when you can just play bad teams? Hey, bank the wins when you can get them – especially early in the season. Johnathan had nothing to worry about against our Commish, who cannot seem to get out of the starting blocks, or out of their own way for that matter. Things begin to get hard against Evan in week 3.

4. McConkey Kong  (2-0; Craig Stalowski): Since Craig is not a division leader, he falls outside the top 3, but for all intents and purposes, he’s a top 3 team out of the gate. Malik Nabers dropping a massive 37pt game, along with a couple others doing what they needed, gave Craig the boost he needed. I’m not sure if this team will be consistent across the board, or if they’ll have some players go-off each week. Whatever it may be, it’s worked so far.

5. The Bonkers (2-0; Anthony DiMinno): Ant’s team did not have the juice that they had in week 1, but sometimes you do not need much juice if you’re opponent just gives a musty performance. Ant slides into spot 5 as one of the remaining teams with an undefeated record just two weeks into the season.

6. Bakers Boutte Cookies (1-1; Nick Calabrase): Nick’s team is showing that they probably belong in the upper echelon of this list as they just get by a monster matchup against Pat. With some great performances up and down this roster, Pat losing Joe Burrow early in the day to turf toe proved to be the silver bullet. Our lemonade connoisseur has found himself in the win column and out of the lower half of this list.

7. Horn Knee G (1-1; Greg Flohs): Barkley, Bucky and Egbuka are highlights to this team early in the BFL season, but the rest of this roster ain’t doing much. This group will have to start righting the ship in a more consistent way if they don’t want to fall further down this list. But I have good news Greg – you play our Commish this week.

8. Justin Tucker is Le Tired (0-2; Pat Masur):  The leader of the losers, Pat finds himself with a pretty good team but no wins to show for it. He had a tit-for-tat matchup against Nick this past week that came with a loss and a Joe Burrow injury. That news does not bode well for Pat, but this squad still has some teeth to it. The wins have to come eventually, right?

9. Fantasy Football Team (0-2; Steve Katz): So Steve ignored my advice on Caleb Williams (correct), and started Drake Maye instead (also correct). However, Steve unfortunately found himself on the wrong side of the W-L column against Craig this past week. A big share of the blame goes against the Cowboys Defense – who pushed Steve in the wrong direction. The season is still young, and there is a favorable matchup this week against floundering Sean.

10. Sparta Waffle Eaters (0-2; Josh Tucci): Josh actually took my Caleb Williams advice (incorrect) as he benched Bo Nix (also incorrect). Not that is matters anyways, Josh got absolutely steamrolled by Evan’s team in week 2 as he falls to 0-2. I am not sure how this team will progress and things don’t get any easier against Craig this week.

11. Milk Milk Lemonade (0-2; Sean Washington): A nice rebound performance for Sean where he came up just short (thanks Matt Golden). There’s definitely some stronger bite to this team, so there is plenty of opportunity to stack some wins. Up next comes Steve, who’s also looking for his first win.

12. Phoenixville Horn Dogs (0-2; John Williams): Our Commish is really flopping around to start this season. He hasn’t even cleared 150pts on the season yet, a feat Evan accomplished in week 2 alone. Things are not looking good, maybe start warming up the car, John.
